Each week we want you to be able to experience the great music, encouraging messages, friendly people and creative atmosphere that are a part of the Cornerstone experience. And we know that your first time at a church, any church, brings up some questions. How do I get there… what should I wear… what’s available for my kids… what should I expect in church? Here is a quick look at what you can expect each week at Cornerstone:

What should I wear?
We’re more concerned with meeting your real life needs than with what you wear. Most people will dress in casual weekend attire, so dress how you feel comfortable and you’ll fit right in.

What’s available for my kids?
We have an excellent kid’s experience: Elevate!. First Steps is our ministry to infants & toddlers, Stepping Stones is our ministry to children ages 3 - kindergarten, and Step-Up! is our ministry to elementary-school children. Kids love it!

What should I expect in church?
• From the moment you pull into the parking lot, you'll be made to feel at home. Our welcome team will help you find anything you need, including Elevate. After checking in your kids at any Kid's Check-In station, proceed to the auditorium where our welcome team will welcome you, hand you our information-filled program and help you secure a seat. The program will tell you more about Cornerstone. There will be a Connection Card in program. You can fill out anytime during the gathering.

• Complete the connection card during the gathering. This is our way to communicate with you. We will never single you out during the service. This card is our way of getting to know you better. You can complete as much information as you feel comfortable and turn it in when the offering plates are passed at the end of the service.

• Enjoy the Cornerstone experience. We hope it will become the best hour of your week. Our pastor, Thomas Blevins, will lead you through practical, timeless truths with humor and sincerity.

A community group is a gathering of people from the church that get together weekly to share life and support one another. Life is hard. It was never meant to be lived in isolation. Community is a gift of God intended to help us see and experience the good news of Jesus in profound and tangible ways. If you are new to the church this the perfect place for you to belong, ask questions, and wrestle with your faith in a community of people who care for you, not because your life is together, but because you are created in the image of God.

 

 

Children Matter at Cornerstone

It’s about kids. Having a blast, being creative, interacting, learning about the love of God. In about the coolest environment ever. And it’s about you. Getting a chance to relax, decompress and hear God’s great plans for you – no matter how tired, lost or alone you might feel.
